Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to take your next step with RUSHD.
How do I apply?
Select Complete Onboarding Application, choose Create account on the sign-in screen, complete your information, upload the required documents, and submit your agreements and application.
Do current couriers use the same portal?
Yes. Use the same Courier Portal and sign in with your existing account. Keep your information and documents current.
Are couriers employees or independent contractors?
All RUSHD couriers are 1099 independent contractors. RUSHD does not withhold taxes from courier payments. Couriers are responsible for their own tax obligations.
Where can I review safety and delivery standards?
Read our Safety page and Delivery Expectations for route preparation, photo requirements, and good and bad delivery examples.
What is the starting pay?
Starting pay is $1.50 per stop, plus $0.40 for each duplicate package at that stop. Your contractor agreement contains your compensation terms.
What is a duplicate?
An extra package at the same stop. Three packages at one stop pay $1.50 + $0.40 + $0.40 = $2.30.
How many packages are on a route?
Prepare for a 100–150 package route minimum. Management will confirm your assigned route and instructions.
What vehicles can I use?
Hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs, minivans, and cargo vans are delivery vehicle examples. Your vehicle must be reliable and have enough space for your assigned packages.
What documents do I need?
A valid driver's license, vehicle registration, active vehicle insurance, W-9, and completed contractor agreements.
Is there a weekly administration deduction?
The agreement includes a $30 weekly administration deduction, with parcel insurance included. It is deducted from each week’s pay. You still need active vehicle insurance.
How do I request work as a current courier?
Contact management with your availability. Management confirms route assignments and any contract-specific requirements.
What happens after I submit?
Management reviews your application and confirms your next steps. Contact Support for a progress update or help correcting documents. Application submission does not guarantee approval or a route assignment.
Are same-day payments available?
Same-day pay options may be available separately from regular weekly payments. Couriers must have no chargeback fees (claim charges) to be considered for same-day pay. Meeting this condition does not guarantee approval; management confirms eligibility and payment arrangements. Ask management or Support to confirm your eligibility, timing, and any applicable fees.
How should I provide personal documents?
Use your onboarding account to submit documents requested in the application. For questions about how application information is handled, contact Support. Do not include passwords or Social Security numbers in support emails.
